Designers Make Money From Printing design

I realise that the majority of the readers of this blog are up and coming designers who often charge for web design, business card design and poster design. That’s all well and good, but did you know that you can also make money by offering the whole printing and design process as a single package as opposed to just offering the design? I think what puts people off, particularly designers, is the fact that organising, setting up and delivering the print is considered a difficult talk. When really it isn’t. You can use a company such as PSPrint.com to faciliate your poster printing or cd cover printing extremely easily and can more often than not, charge your existing client a fee for doing so. Your client will probably not want to spend the time finding a printer and will more than likely reward you handsomely if you can do the design work and the printing as an entire package.

Anyway, just another angle for you guys. I know if I could order the entire package as opposed to just a high end design, I would. It’s a shame more designers out there don’t offer the full service. I am sure they would get a lot more business.
