DUI is a design blog filled with articles and information. Despite the name, this is not your local AA.

Oh damn, I missed a day! Yesterday a few thunderstorms (alright, not really a few, more like a few hours worth) knocked around my internet connection and computer quite a bit, preventing me from getting online long enough to write the DUI daily for the day. As you can probably tell, I haven’t taken up my own task yet of writing the DUI a day in advance. I’ll get around to it - eventually.
Part of the whole DUI experience is to expand the topics of DUI beyond web design. Every day I’m trying to throw a curve ball at your with different sections as part of the DUI Daily dose. Sometimes they’ll be all web related topics and other times nothing in the daily dose may have to do with the web. It’s all about randomizing everything to provide a vast amount of content topics. While this is still at heart a design and development blog, DUI is all about keeping it interesting.
Ever hear lyrics and instantly get a picture in your head of what exactly is meant by those images? A visual representation? Of course you do. It happens to everyone every single day, but to us designers, maybe a little bit more. A lot of times this becomes inspiration for an art piece or even an entire project. If you haven’t noticed yet, the music section here at DUI is up. Each month I’ll feature a different artist, and old posts will be archived under the “general” category. Anyways, with “Lyrical Expressions” I’m going to take lyrics from various songs and find pictures or artwork that expresses what those lyrics mean [to me]. Have your own interpretation? Use the comments.
