There is quite a difference in building a web page and building a web site. Web pages are built by anyone who wants there presence on the web. There is an inbuilt software package in Microsoft office to build web page. A web page can just be a single page with a person’s or company’s profile. A web site is developed and hosted to generate business. There can be links to other web sites or web pages. Previously there was no worrying about whether your web site showed up on the first page of a web browser. But now the competition has become so stiff that companies employ SEO and other services to jockey for the top positions in a web browser search.
To build a web page or a web site requires art and technology. Yes, you need art to make the web page or the web site attractive. Your web site is competing with millions and if it’s garish or dull no one is going to look at it. The technology required to build a web page or to build a website is quite simple. All you need really is common sense.
